Write the opening article for your blog. Length can be whatever you think is appropriate to provide essential background and explain your plans for the blog. Try to be persuasive; you are selling your blog in an attempt to attract readers.
Some guidelines:
• Begin with a "lead" that you think will grab attention.
• Explain your personal involvement with the subject matter.
• Make a case, with evidence, for this issue being important.
• Outline the kinds of news that will appear on the blog.
• Spell check your work (Firefox has this feature built in) & proofread it yourself.
• Have someone else read it for clarity.
• Read it out loud for sound & imagery.
• Try to say things your way = development of personal style.
